Challenge and Campdraft Commitee
In August 2014 a group of enthusiastic horsemen and women got together with the aim of of developing a stockman's challenge in the vein of the Cloncurry Stockman's Challenge. They approached the local show committee to help them get started and and ran for a time as a sub-committee of the Coonamble Show Society.
After running two successful events it was decided to go it alone and the the Coonamble Challenge & Campdraft Inc was incorporated. With most of the original members still on the committee it goes from strength to strength. Drawing competitors from all over NSW and from Victoria, Queensland and the Northern Territory it is fast becoming an event recognised across the eastern states and is set to evolve into one of the pre-eminent events on the performance horse calendar.
